Services

Fifteen IT services. One team that stays until it works.

We organise our work into five movements — build, operate, think, shape and staff. Most engagements combine two or three of them, because shipping software that lasts is rarely a single discipline problem.

Every service below is delivered by the same kind of team: senior, small, cross-functional and accountable for what happens after release. We do not hand work down to a cheaper bench once the contract is signed, and we do not staff a role we would not put on a call with your board.

Build

Software development

Custom software built on TypeScript, Node, Go and Python. We own the schema, the API contract, the interface and the release pipeline, and we leave behind a codebase your own hires can read on their first day.

  • Architecture records
  • Component library
  • E2E test suite
  • Preview environments

Web development

Portals, dashboards, storefronts and complex web applications with server rendering where it earns its keep. Fast, accessible interfaces that stay maintainable as the product grows.

  • Web applications
  • SSR & SPA
  • CMS
  • E-commerce

Mobile development

Native iOS and Android, or cross-platform when the surface is shared. Store submissions, staged rollouts, crash budgets and offline behaviour designed rather than discovered in production.

  • iOS & Android
  • Cross-platform
  • Offline sync
  • Store releases

Operate

Cloud & DevOps

Infrastructure as code sized for the team that has to operate it at 3am. We build the paved road — environments, secrets, deployments, observability — then teach your engineers to extend it.

  • Infrastructure as code
  • Kubernetes / serverless
  • Cost controls
  • Runbooks

QA & test automation

Test strategy, automated suites and release gates that catch regressions before your users do. Unit, contract, end-to-end and performance testing wired into every merge.

  • Test strategy
  • Automation
  • Load testing
  • Release QA

IT support & maintenance

Monitoring, incident response, dependency upgrades and small improvements after launch, so the product keeps working long after the first release.

  • Monitoring
  • On-call
  • Upgrades
  • SLAs

Think

Data analytics & engineering

Ingestion, warehousing and modelling that produce numbers people trust. Event schemas, transformation models, lineage and freshness monitoring — so a metric argument ends with a query rather than an opinion.

  • Warehouse design
  • ETL / ELT
  • Lineage
  • BI enablement

AI & machine learning

Retrieval systems, agents and model-backed features with evaluation harnesses attached. We measure before we ship, guard against prompt injection, and keep the cost per request in the same dashboard as the accuracy.

  • RAG
  • Evals
  • Guardrails
  • Cost/latency budgets

IT consulting & discovery

Focused engagements that convert an ambition into a scoped plan: user interviews, prototypes, technical spikes, a cost model and a written list of the risks that could sink the roadmap.

  • Interviews
  • Prototype
  • Spikes
  • Costed roadmap

Shape

UI/UX design

Interaction and visual design done next to the engineers building it. Flows, states, empty screens and error copy — the parts that decide whether software feels considered or merely functional.

  • Flows
  • Prototypes
  • Copy
  • Motion

Design systems

Token pipelines that keep design files and code identical, accessible components tested against WCAG 2.2 AA, and documentation written for the people who will extend it after we leave.

  • Tokens
  • WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Docs site
  • Adoption plan

Cybersecurity & modernisation

Threat modelling, identity architecture and dependency hygiene, plus moving legacy systems forward in slices that keep revenue online: strangler facades, dual writes, cutover rehearsals and a rollback plan nobody has to improvise.

  • Threat models
  • SSO & RBAC
  • Cutover rehearsal
  • Rollback

Staff

Temporary employment agency activities

Licensed temporary staffing for technology work. We recruit, vet and employ IT specialists, then assign them to your team for a defined period. They work under your direction, in your process and your tooling, while we remain the legal employer and carry the contract, payroll, taxes, insurance and reporting.

  • Employment & contracts
  • Payroll & taxes
  • Vetting & references
  • Replacement guarantee

IT recruitment & vetting

Sourcing and technical assessment for roles you intend to hire permanently. Structured interviews, live problem solving reviewed by a practising engineer, and a written scorecard for every candidate so a hiring decision is based on evidence rather than impressions.

  • Sourcing
  • Technical screening
  • Scorecards
  • Offer support

Managed team extension

A blend of the two: placed specialists plus a Bright Frame lead who keeps quality, onboarding and knowledge transfer on track. Useful when you need headcount quickly but do not yet have the internal management bandwidth to absorb it.

  • Onboarding
  • Quality oversight
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Ramp planning

Engagement models

Four ways to work with us.

Fixed-scope project

From 60k

Fixed scope, fixed cadence, a dedicated cross-functional team. Best for a defined outcome with a deadline attached.

Dedicated team

Monthly

Three to seven senior people inside your organisation, in your rituals, owning a roadmap slice end to end.

Discovery engagement

From 18k

Prototype, spikes, costed plan and a risk register. Credited against the build if you continue with us.

Advisory retainer

From 4k / mo

Architecture review, hiring support and a principal on call for the decisions that are hard to reverse.

All contracts are month-to-month with a thirty-day notice period. Repositories, infrastructure accounts, design files and documentation belong to you from the first commit — there is nothing to unwind if you decide to continue alone.

In focus

Temporary employment agency activities

Sometimes the problem is not the plan — it is that the plan needs four more people for five months. Temporary employment lets you add vetted IT specialists to your own team without opening permanent headcount, running a hiring process, or taking on the administrative weight of employing them. We recruit and employ the specialist; you direct the work.

Everything on the employer side stays with us: employment contracts, payroll, taxes and contributions, sick leave and holiday, insurance, equipment where needed, and the reporting an audit will ask for. You receive one invoice per period and a person who is already set up to work. When the assignment ends, it ends — no severance process, no restructuring.

01

Brief & shortlist

We take the role, the stack, the seniority and the constraints that actually matter, then return a shortlist of assessed candidates with written scorecards — usually inside two weeks.

02

Assign & onboard

The specialist signs with us and starts with you: accounts, access, context and a named contact on our side who checks in through the first month and stays reachable afterwards.

03

Extend, replace or close

Assignments extend month to month, swap to a different profile when the work changes, or simply end. Knowledge transfer notes are part of the close-out, not an afterthought.

Roles we place

  • Frontend engineers
  • Backend engineers
  • Mobile developers
  • DevOps & SRE
  • QA engineers
  • Data engineers
  • ML engineers
  • UI/UX designers
  • Business analysts
  • Project managers
  • Support engineers
  • Security specialists

Candidates are technically assessed by engineers who do the same work, not by keyword matching. Every placement carries a trial period and a replacement guarantee: if the fit is wrong in the first weeks, we replace the person at our cost and you do not pay twice for the ramp-up.

Questions

Before you scope anything

Short answers to the questions that decide whether an engagement is worth starting at all.

That is the normal path. Most engagements begin with either discovery or a single build practice, then pull in design, DevOps or QA once the shape of the work is clear. Adding a discipline takes a sprint of notice, not a new contract.

Yes, and it is usually the better arrangement. Mixed squads share standups, code review and the pager. Your engineers keep the domain knowledge; ours bring the delivery spine and the parts of the stack you are hiring for.

You do. They join your standups, take work from your backlog and report to your lead. We stay the legal employer, handle contracts, payroll, taxes and leave, and keep a named contact who checks in on how the assignment is going.

A shortlist of assessed candidates usually lands within ten working days. Start dates depend on notice periods, but a placement typically begins two to four weeks after the brief. Every assignment includes a trial period and a replacement guarantee.

The advisory retainer exists for that. Architecture reviews, hiring input and a principal on call for decisions that are expensive to reverse — no delivery team attached, no pressure to expand it into one.

A weekly demo of running software, a short written note covering what moved and what is at risk, and a shared document with the current plan. No separate status meeting, no slideware.
